About Loxley, AL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Loxley, Alabama is a Baldwin County town with a population of just over 1,600 residents. This town is located within the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley Micropolitan area, and its close location next to Interstate 10 made it a popular expansion of suburbs like Spanish Fort and Daphne. Loxley is also centered almost directly between Mobile and neighboring Pensacola, Florida. Previously known as Bennett, this community was renamed to Loxley for John Loxley, the founder of a lumber camp and saw mill that brought business and workers to the community.

Despite being a relatively small town, Loxley does have several interesting things to do within its limits. Racing fans often enjoy visiting the Deep South Speedway, while golf enthusiasts may prefer a trip to the Steelwood Resort. There are several outdoor recreational opportunities available at the Parkway RV Camp, the Alabama Kayak Adventures, or Loxley Municipal Park. The Baldwin County Strawberry Festival is also held in this community each spring.

Loxley is known for being part of a humid subtropical climate zone. In the winter, this means that conditions are mild and quite short, so many northerners travel to the region to escape the frigid temperatures. Average highs in January are in the upper 50s, while average January lows are in the upper 30s to low 40s. Despite these conditions, some freezing weather is experienced, so residents rely on their heat pump or home furnace to stay warm.

Summers can be uncomfortable at times with high heat and humidity. While the average high temperature in July is 90 degrees, conditions often feel much warmer due to the high humidity that comes in from the Gulf. To beat the heat, residents rely on home cooling systems and air conditioning units. Area HVAC professionals also recommend that property owners have their units serviced in the spring so that they can be fully operational when the dangerous, hot weather strikes.
